The soiree "Um Salve das Minas" originated after the "Vigil for Women's Life" in early 2017. The Vigil emerged in response to several cases of femicide in late 2016 and early 2017. Both the Vigil and the soiree are movements against misogeny.

The soiree featured various poems, songs, performances, solidary economy, as solidary stores, exhibitions, children's spaces, poems recitation, crafts and food. Learn more here .

The event took place at the Hip Hop House Piracicaba. The House is a "Community, Cultural, Educational and Political Association. The Piracicaba Hip Hop Culture House is an NGO established in 2003. The organization offers children and adolescents from Piracicaba municipality free activities of art, culture, communication, sports, leisure, citizenship and education. The Hip Hop House is, above all, a cultural movement of resistance, of affirmation of identity, a path for the formation of conscience and citizenship, from the voice the reality of those so-called society's margins. Therefore, the movement produces not only musical and artistic connections, but also helps to build new looks, new leaderships, new idols, new images, that is, new possibilities. " know more here .

My participation was a performance in the aerial silk, accompanied by the voice and guitar of Fabiana Bastos (music: "Debaixo d'água" by Arnaldo Antunes) and the poem of Mayra Camargo.

"You will not drown me

In this repressing look

In this gesture saying no

In his insistence not to hear me

You will not drown me

I'm going to the bakery

I go to the bus stop

I go where I want to breathe

You will not drown me

I will breathe

I will breathe

You will not drown me

Because the sea within me

Is so much bigger than the prejudice in you"
