2019 — Domingão do Faustão
2019 - Faustão
In March 2019, nominated by the staff of lifeCirco Piracicaba and Limeira, the production of the open TV show "Domingão do Fautão" invited me to participate in the show "Me engana que eu gosto". The program "Domingão do Faustão" is very popular in Brazil, has been broadcast by Rede Globo since 1989. It consists of a live auditorium program, broadcast on Sundays.
Here is a short description of what the show is about:
"Becoming an expert in an artistic modality or mastering a skill and makes money from it can take a lifetime. It's years and more years of practice and rehearsals! But at the "Me engana que eu gosto", which debuts on "Domingão do Faustão" on March 24, 2019, participants will have only a few days of training to make the audience believe that they are on par with a professional.
Each week there will be shows with groups of 4 anonymous on the show's stage. Three of them will be experts in what is being presented. The other will be the "deceiver", who does not dominate that sport and will have the mission of confusing the public. The attractions will be the most diverse: singing, dancing, acrobatics, juggling, magic and everything that the imagination allows.
In addition to the crowd that will be in the auditorium, the home audience can participate by trying to identify the fake expert through Gshow. To do this, simply log on to the show's website at the time of submission, click on the poll and answer who you think is the "deceiver." - Learn more here
For my participation in the program, the production team took me to São Carlos to train with the Sanca All Stars cheerleader team for two weeks. Our presentation took place on 07/04/2019. Watch here .
The show "Me engana que eu gosto" caught my attention by giving visibility, on open TV, to sports little known in Brazil such as pole dance, cheearleading, cancan, pirophagy, etc. The training was very heavy. The muscles needed to perform flyer movements are different from what I'm used to in acrobatic tissue. The legs were the most injured, as flyers make an explosive force to climb with each movement and also need to keep their legs contracted to maintain balance. There were days when my biggest challenge was just getting up.
My performance was not enough to earn the 35 thousand reais of the prize, but I think it was an amazing experience. Perhaps the best part was being called a "genetics researcher" nationwide. A brief moment to give visibility to my own profession.
